Have a Yamaha mg16xu… I downloaded cubase 15.. all new sound system.. we need to record pastors sermon onto computer while he is preaching so I can then upload to our church website.. I know very little about doing this .. we were recording onto cds previously.. thanks for any help!
You are using the USB connection? If so, you need to insure you have a driver for the mixer loaded. Check the audio setup in Cubase. It should be using the Yamaha driver. You can route the main out of the mixer to a stereo audio channel and hit record. Private message me if you need more help.
Yes I’m using the USB connection… thank you for your help! I think I’m recording but I’m not hearing the sound on my external speakers?
If you mean external speakers connected to the mg16xu, then - - -
From mg16xu manual P.28: “The signal from the
STEREO L/R buses is output to the computer. (This signal is
not affected by the [STEREO] master fader.)”
Is your Master Fader turned up?
