I have a drum machine track from a VST plugin which I want to send to a speaker and record through a mic so as to get a genuine room sound on it. I can’t find a way to do it without creating an audio feedback loop through the Steinberg UR22 audio interface. There must be a simple way to do this.
Just record your input without monitoring it?
You could do a bit fancier setup with direct routing to only send things you want to record out, and making sure the recorded track from your interface/mic isn’t sent back out again as well, but I don’t think you need that even.
Got it! Thank you. I had the Loopback on and it was sending the original track directly into the recording track. Silly me.
