I am trying to configure the routing in WL7 to record the file that is being playing through some outboard (compressors & EQ) back into WL without getting a feedback loop.
Can anyone help?

Use the External Gear plugin. And set the routing in the Audio Streaming settings dialog.
An then press record and then select instead of ‘audio in 1’ > ‘record what is played back’. Then you can hear what is going on while with rendering you won’t.
