Recording with inserts enabled in vst connect

I need to set up a recording session with a singer.

I would like to use the insert section of the vst connect performer to load autotune and some other real time effects. When I record on my cubase session, I receive the vocals already processed. Is there a way for me to get the raw files and for him to still hear the effect during the performance?

Yes you can do that. In the “RECORD” section on the Studio side (VST Connect plugin, top of the Performer Monitor mixer), you can opt to have Performer inserts recorded or not using the FX button for each channel.
