Rehearsal Letters not printing

I have added rehearsal letters. They show up in the print preview but don’t actually print. Also the Coda symbol prints but not the word Coda

Welcome to the forum, @im_halrose!

Are you printing or exporting to PDF?

Can you please upload an empty version of this project with enough rehearsal marks/coda symbols to reproduce the problem?

Are you using a background colour on your Paragraph Styles? Are you printing/exporting in Colour?

Yes, check you are rendering to monochrome, and that you are not using colours.

I checked out some of the other suggestions below. The printer window gives me no B&W vs. Color option. There is an interesting radio button, in the annotations section, with the label “View Options”. The print preview showed the system breaks. The system breaks printed and the rehearsal letters and the “to coda”. It is the same whether I direct the output to a physical printer or to Adobe PDF. I have uploaded an empty project that has several rehearsal letters added, which don’t get rendered to the PDF but show up in the print preview. So, everything is sent to the GDI to render all the objects created in the workflow, but something strange is preventing some of the objects from rendering to the GDI during the actual printing. I get a slightly different result with the “Test Project.dorico” I uploaded. I had added 3 rehearsal letters and when I toggled the “View Options” radio button, only one of the rehearsal letters was rendered (the rehearsal letter surrounding boxes all print, though).

Thanks for your interest, Daniel - It is a puzzler to me. I still have Dorico 5 installed - maybe I will run the test there later.

PDF export from my Mac. Could it be a Font Cache issue, or that you have multiple versions of the Font installed?

Hmmm, I just rebooted and that solved the issue. I leave my computer on all the time. It only reboots when patches are applied or when issues like this arise.
