Hi everyone does someone know if i can reinstall Cubase on my pc.
Indeed i need to reinstall windows and want to know if i can have the right to reinstall Cubase a second time on the same machine.

Of course, you can. You own the license, since you bought. Actually you have 3 license, which you can use 2 at same time on different computer

How many licenses am i going to have left after the reinstall?
is it related to the activation

You should deactivate Cubase on that machine before you re-install Windows on it, so you won’t eat up any of the activations assuming you have Cubase 12 or 13

that is actually wrong - you have one license, but you can activate it on up to 3 different machines (assuming it’s Cubase 12 or 13)

license is not the same as activation

You just have to pay attention to the name of your PC
Because Windows will probably change it with the new installation
and in this case Steinberg considers that it is a second PC
The solution is to rename the PC as before

Thanks its very use full. Ho it comes to me another question. What if i reinstall windows 10 instead of windows 11 with the same computer name? Will it eat up an activation ?

It isn’t really a problem if an activation is no longer reachable e.g. because of system changes or a buggy computer. You can release all activations in your MySteinberg account and then distribute them across 3 computers again.
