I’ve started using the Relab LX480 essentials while ago and really like it but whenever I bypass the plugin, my audio turn into mono. Just tested on my stereo drum track; when I bypass, it turned into mono.
I did some research and found out that this has been a problem for some people too but already been fixed in some older version I guess (those posts were years ago). Maybe this version accidentally brought back the problem.
Open the Channel Settings window. In the Inserts section, switch over to the Routing (at the bottom). You can see how the signal is routed through the plug-in (if it’s stereo or mono).
I think it is on Cubase side unforturnately, I forgot to say it clearer but I actually use the bypass option for inserts within Cubase, since the plug-in doesn’t have one. I also did a quicktest on other DAWs and the plug-in works fine with those DAWs’ bypass knob.
I don’t use Channel Setting much, so I just took the screenshot for when I bypass the plugin. The track is stereo, still when I bypass, the track turned mono but the Channel Setting shows otherwise I guess?
I did mention I saw other post about this. You can have a check if interested, it is for VST Live actually. I can’t include link so you can search “VST Live with Relab LX480 essentials issue”
The lastest update for this plugin was in 2022, and this post is from early 2024. That why I think it maybe on Cubase side. But of course, I’m not sure!
Just hope wherever the problem comes from, it will be fixed somehow, lol
