Hi, I am trying to remove a flute in an Orchestral type piece of music. Of course the piece also has violins, which are not play lead parts at the same time the flute is, but are in the piece none-the-less.
Any suggestions??
Thanks!!

Here, try the wind, woodwind and flute stem separation models.
I think your best bet might be to manually erase the flute with Spectral editing tools. It’s close to a sine wave so should be fairly easy to edit.
I dunno about a sine wave resemblance…still, flute has at least six main overtones and certainly more than 6 with weaker amplitude and higher freq range, so selecting just the flute overtones/ harmonics can be very tricky as there will be crossover with other instruments
Use an AI stem separator, they have gotten pretty good. I have not used it for flute, though.
The mvsep.com suggested above by @Sophus is hands-down the best flute separation I have heard (“MVsep Flute” under “Wind”). It would take days of manual work to do this with SpectraLayers, at least with the current version,.
I have also used MVSEP on flute.
It works perfectly – and you can use it free with som minor restrictions…
