I beg of you to remove the Hub. It creates problems with MIDI, is often not reflective of latest projects, and overall clunky. It’s safe to say everyone agrees.
I disagree. lol but serious.
The hub has no effect on midi whatsoever, and if recent files are not correct, it means Nuendo crashed, and thus didn’t save to the file list. Nothing to do with the hub.
I like the hub, I just want a checkbox, that saves to Preferences…
I like the Hub as well…I open up Nuendo and all my saved latest projects, templates and locations are all visually there, or one/two clicks away. On my (W11) system it’s smooth and pretty fast.
I can’t say I have noticed any Midi problems at all. What particular Midi problems does the OP have?
There’s a big thread how the Hub window affects MIDI transposition (hotkeys). Who knows what else. Why is this even a thing…
The biggest issue here, if a crash/freeze happens (which is often with large projects) and Recent Projects is inaccurate, I’m forced to open from the .npr source location (which I prefer anyways) thus affecting MIDI hotkeys. It’s just poor dev, and something I shouldn’t need to be worrying about in the first place
Please link to the thread. What you describe sounds like Key Command issues, not actually something to do with midi specifically.
I would like to be able to turn off The Hub completely (as was possible in earlier versions of Nuendo) so that I can see if N13 will function with my SmartAVTango control surface. At the moment N12 works but N13 does not. Currently I can not upgrade to N13 but would like to see if I would be able to if the Hub were not there.
I’m sure the hub won’t be removed, and also that whether a remote works or not is not afftected by the hub. If you open a project the hub should close. If it doesn’t you can close it manually.
What could you actually test with your remote without an active project?
Probably you should start a specific topic about it.
There are several topics with this request about the Hub, so I’ll close this one.
