Rename keep the old name

When I rename a track it’s ok in the inspector but in a clip the old name is kept (in parenthesis) , is there a way to avoid this ?

To change the part of the name that’s in the parentheses, select the event and look in the far-left part of the Info Line window for “File”. To change the first part of the name, you can edit the Info Line “Description” field. If you don’t see it, right-click on the Info Line.

You can turn this off in Settings → Event Display → Audio → Append Clip Name to Event Name

I think that is more when you record a track to affect the same name to the clips than the track’s name

Sorry, I was under the impression that you wanted to turn off the setting to append Clip name altogether. Hence my suggestion.
