Render In Place channel name always named 'Main Out'.

Hi.

Why is every rendered audio channel named ‘Main Out’ even though I assign a custom name before rendering?
Is there no way to assign the name of the newly created file to the channel strip?
Otherwise, I have to manually rename the channel strips to match the region names, which is a hassle.

This makes no sense.

thank you.

See “Render Settings” and select the name you want.

Hi dogeatdogg ,

I’ve been having the same problem and was trying to sort it for a long time!
If you go to Render Selection (Render in Place - Render Settings) , under Processing if you select Channel Settings and keep the File Name settings unchecked, it will rename the rendered wave file as well as the new track to the channel that was rendered!! Yay!!!

If you keep Complete Signal Path +Master FX, the new channel takes the name of the Main Stereo Out (or whatever your main Stereo was named)

I hope this helps
