hallo new to cubase i am having lots of issue i havent use any daw since 2000 so maybe some of this issue might have to do with the fact that i have to setup thing correctly.
to test render in place i have opened a new empty project no plug ins nothing added battery 4 and put a bass drum in midi then rendered and this is what i get! in the old times was normal to have to go and edit audio to make it snap at the beginning of the beat but watching some tutorials and being 2016 i tought now i wouldnt have to do that anymore.
is it normal to have latency rendering vst instruments?

this is with 64 samples buffer size , i have tried also recording soft instruments to an audio track the result is the same

Midi is not sample accurate ever

i tought midi problems were when using external instruments not also for the vsti.
what midi offset r u talking about the little clock on the inspector of the track thap can apply positive or negative delay?

Try a small -10 track delay in the midi track, render and see if it helps
