Repeat Audio Event by Dragging won't work

Cubase 5.5.2 on a Mac under OS 10.6.6 here.

I needed to repeat some trimmed audio events yesterday … in the past I could Option click and drag the event from the trim handle and Cubase would repeat the event for me. But not now. Nothing happens at all. The menu repeat option works… and alt/option drag event still copies it as expected. But no multiple repeats by dragging.

Can anyone else repeat an event by dragging?

The Manual says

• You can also perform the Repeat function by dragging: Select the event(s) to repeat, press [Alt]/[Option], click the handle in the lower right corner of the last selected event and drag to the right.
The longer to the right you drag, the more copies are created (as shown by the tooltip).

I’m not a mac guy but if I just press alt and drag from the lower right handle, I get repeats as far as I can drag.
I imagine the protocol is going to be a little different on the mac but on pc, it works with just alt.
This is something I previously didn’t know that will definitely help my work flow. Thanks and I hope this helps you.

Try Shift instead of Option.

Nope … doesn’t work.

I checked in the Preferences / Tool Modifiers / Resize section and it says that alt/drag should repeat. But it doesn’t

Works fine here.

Thought I’d post again since you said resize, and it’s actually size, but I’m sure that’s what you meant…

But it definitely works for me, I think initializing prefs is needed here.
