Sorry for all the amount of random questions lately. I’m working on creating a template and stuff for some reason isn’t working out like I think it should. I have repeat brackets set to extend fully over the bar(s). However, they’re not doing that. I’m pretty sure I have the correct settings set for the bracket to be extended over the bar(s) fully. Here’s the file again and a screenshot of the issue.
Well, the second ending is only defined as being one bar long, so in this part the bracket only extends for one bar of the 2 bar rest.
It seems like it would be nice if Dorico handled this case automatically and split the multi bar rest at the end of a repeat bracket. In the meantime, you can go to the score in Engrave mode, select the rest in bar 6 (in any staff), and do Engrave > Split multi-bar rest. That will cause multi bar rests in any layout to split at that point.
I wouldn’t expect that – the ending has a defined sematic length, and the bracket should indicate that (and should be the same length in all parts, regardless of whether there are notes or rests). But I would expect Dorico to break the multi bar rest in order to display the ending’s semantic length in a more standard way.
