Repeat Tracking Issues

I enjoy the new “tracking” feature for repeat signs, but it has introduced some unintended consequences.

Here’s a real life example (I can try to grab a screenshot if necessary)

I have a repeated 20 measure section in a 4/4 flow. One the the measures, say m. 18 is in 2/4 for one measure only, before switching back to 4/4. Because the new repeat feature is seeing this wthingthe repeated section, a courtesy 4/4 time signature is placed before the backwards repeat sign, and again after, even though the target repeat measure is still in 4/4. I have to turn of tracking to disable this, which could be problematic if my flow had another section that needed this feature. Any tips, or is this a bug?

Can you attach a short project that demonstrates the issue?

File attached. Take a look at m. 29. It’s repeating back to a 4/4 measure, but showing 4/4 as a courtesy as well.
