Repeat weirdness

I started playing around with a possible new work based on some looping I was futzing with in Reason 13 (that’s the DAW I use). Not sure it’s worth pursuing further, but in the attached file, if I play it through to the end (each measure repeats multiple times), it starts back at the first playback measure (measure 2 since the first measure is silence; it’s a Quaker thing I do even though I’m not a Quaker) rather than just continuing into the next (blank for now) measures. I added some measures with music and it does the same thing. I do not have anything set to have the first measure as a target, so I’m baffled. I’ve removed and redone all the repeat bars and it’s no different. I think I saw something in an old thread about some issues with repeats oddly going back to the first measure of a work but it was not clear to me what the resolution of that issue was, if any. Any thoughts would be helpful. Even if I don’t move forward with this score, I do occasionally write music in which every measure is repeated, so this will come up again eventually. Thanks!

I think it is perhaps the repeats at bar 6 and 7 that would confuse Dorico?

The beginning of Bar 6 doesn’t have a start repeat.

Duh! So sorry-my bad. I had repeated some bars after initially setting the repeats, and the repeat barlines don’t always copy so I have to recreate the repeats and likely just missed that one. Thanks!

Sometimes it just takes a fresh pair of eyes. Your brain can play tricks on you. When you’ve seen it so many times and know how it should be, your brain tells you that it’s correct.
