The last day of the 50% Nuendo sale is here. I’m interested in crossgrading from Cubase 13 Pro. While the U.S. price of $224 looks like an attractive no-brainer, the Canadian price with tax for me is $365.
I’ve already upgraded to Wavelab Pro (using the 70% summer discount) and Dorico Elements. I already have Spectralayers Pro. If anyone knows a way I could get a further discount on Nuendo (perhaps finding a way to stretch my unused previous 40th anniversary discount), I’d appreciate it. That would get the price down to $290 which would be fine. Otherwise, I’ll have to let the Nuendo upgrade go, even at 50% off. Sniff. Thanks!
If you don’t want to pay the extra now, for extra DAW features, then you may not also want to pay higher upgrade prices because the difference you quoted would likely be in the ballpark of the difference between the 2 programs.
Perhaps purchase the crossgrade now (but don’t activate it), then you can save the cost of the Cubase 14 upgrade and wait for Nuendo 14 before activating the crossgrade DAC.
Thanks, that’s an interesting thought and I appreciate your reasoning here. I think I’ll wait and see if Steinberg responds to my request today. I know others in the support forum have had some luck with making such requests. Will Steinberg let be one of them?
Wow, we are already talking about the next version!
V12 ended in .07 and we are now at .05 in the V13 cycle, so it doesn’t seem long to go but who cares right, with all these specials surely SB can find a reason to discount even more and build out the customer base in anticipation of ARM support.
