Hello there, please excuse me if this has already been suggested. I am a 2-ish year long Dorico user, I have become very comfortable with note entry workflow in Dorico and while the playback, midi editing, and even vst integration within Dorico are very impressive I still prefer to mix in a DAW, so my workflow for creating mockups usually consists of starting composition in Dorico, exporting the project as midi, and importing the midi into my DAW for mixing. This works fine but I find myself constantly flipping back and forth between the 2 softwares, or if I need to make a minor change I just do it in the piano roll in the DAW, which I prefer much less than composing in Dorico. I think it would be AMAZING for my workflow and maybe many other users if Steinberg released a midi note editor plugin with the same workflow as Dorico that could directly edit midi channels in a DAW. It could be an extremely stripped back version of the full program, it wouldn’t need any playback features or much for engraving/formatting, just something where a window pops up where you can see the staff/staves you want to edit, and input/copy/paste/repeat/move notes and stuff just like you can in Dorico. So many aspects of composition like moving notes and adjusting rhythms by the grid resolution, dynamics entry, and filtering selections are so efficient in Dorico and I know being able to do those tasks right in the DAW would be an absolute game changer for me, I would pay practically any price for a plugin like this.
