I assume it’s not just me, but when I mark a Playback Playing Technique as a Favorite, the “star” doesn’t change color or give any indication that I have successfully changed it’s status. It would seem best to have a positive visual feedback that this has been accomplished.
None of the buttons in action bars in Dorico’s dialogs are intended to indicate status: they don’t update according to the selection in the dialog (except to be enabled or disabled, and it wouldn’t necessarily be straightforward to e.g. disable the button if the item has already been saved as a default, though of course that is a possibility should we decide to allocate the necessary time and effort to achieve it).
