What is so difficult about a DAW, playing a track and recording „resample“ it in another track, for example, with effects?
Why do I need an additional app and a drag-and-drop solution for this from a market leader and long-time developer of a DAW?

Most likely because Cubasis doesn’t yet provide any easy way to use an existing tracks output as the input for another track.
There’s always the option to ‘freeze’ the track and copy the frozen track to the new audio-track.
That will be it.
But is it that difficult to program?
Is it also possible in other apps?
For example AUM.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
Hi @BinaryTubes
As @Samuel_Lindeman already pointed out, “Track Freeze” should work instantly and quickly.
Please give it a try yourself, using these steps:

It’s an interesting feature.
And it seems you can also layer with it.
But as an example. You have a snare (Track 2) and another track (Track 3) with a channel strip configured as a side chain on Track 2.
If you freeze Track 3, even if Track 2 is playing, the resulting audio track is empty.
It is not what you can do with resampling.
Anyway, thanks for the explanation, Lars.
Track Freeze should in no way be seen as a ‘substitute’ or ‘replacement’ for not being able to use the output from one track as the input for another track as they are two completely different functions,
Once proper track routing is in place that function might also be usable as the input for a future sampler…
