I somehow managed to change all presets category to the same value… how can I reset to the default values? I tried reinstalling Retrologue - that didn’t help. I’m on a Mac if it makes any difference.

you must be talking about your user presets since the factory presets can’t be overwritten unless you change the name of the preset or save it in a different folder.
Have a look at the directories, you should find all factory presets as they were.

I am talking about the preset category field. The presets are still there, but I accidentally changed the category for all. I wanted to set the rating of all presets to no stars so I could have more freedom to rate them with 0 to 5 stars. So I selected all presets with Cmd-A and dragged the rating to none… but in the process I somehow also clicked Category and changed it - for all! and there is no undo for that. So now all my presets are “Chromatic Perc”: screenshot
