How can I get a quarter rest to show on beat 1 of the bongos?

Use Force Duration (O) and Rest Mode (,) to write explicit rests.
That’s what I did and it worked for the whole score of 30 instruments except for the bongos. Am I missing something?
The caret jumps to the next beat but no rest shows up.
Unfortunately you can’t currently create explicit rests on a percussion kit when shown in either grid or five-line staff presentation type. This is a limitation we will relax in a future version of the software.
