Obviously your adjusted version is clearer; Dorico shouldn’t allow rests to collide with beams by default. It is constrained by the note on the snare drum, which is forcing the other rests to be moved higher. This is something we should improve in future.

Thanks for responding Daniel. I agree with your assessment. Dorico programmers and team are excellent, so I am sure you/they will come up with the best solution for a future update. Thanks again.
