Restore Beat Calculator Immediately

There is no reason what so ever why Beat Calculator should have been removed. Many users have been clamoring for reinstatement.

If Steinberg wants it hidden from the general menu, whatever, but make it possible so that it can be made visible through preferences.

This was fundamental in my production and absolutely ridiculous its been removed.

Beat calculator is a scientific and exact tool that analyzed events, be that audio or midi, and gave an exact bpm of selected events in relation to stated numbers of bars and also gives the option to set project tempo to such bpm. Whereas tap tempo is inaccurate and not what anyone who has been using beat calculator for decades wants or can use.

Beat Calculator allowed a user to start with playing whatever tempo was natural to then at the moment, then afterwards have the software detect the tempo. Now, with Tap Tempo, that is no longer an option.

That’s an ORDER, Steinberg!

I just started using Cubase shortly before this feature’s removal so I have no strong opinions. However, it is very interesting witnessing this consistent request over the past few years.

I think sometimes companies will remove features if they feel they are underutilized. People have been so vocal about this feature that I wonder if that’s the case.
