Why is an old title always appearing unless I change it on each page? I’d rather not do this on each of 85 score pages! I tried going to project info and entering a new project title, and retitling the file name. If the answer is tokens, describe how to insert these in my piece. Thanks for the assistance, you’re the best!
When you go into Project Info are you definitely changing the title under the Project tab? rather than one of the flows? (I’ve made that mistake a number of times and been temporarily mystified.)
Yes, I retitled it where “project” appears. I retitled the flows underneath too. Still get the old title.
If you’ve been editing each page, then you have overrides which are probably causing the problem. Go to Engrave mode and look for red triangles.
Yes, red triangles appear on the “fixed” pages with my new title.
One thought: try making a duplicate of your project, remove all page overrides in one of the projects, and see if you can get it working from scratch.
I’ll give it a try! Thank you.
How are the page overrides removed? Where do I find them? (If it makes a difference I’m a MAC user.)
I manually typed (in Mac OS, BTW) Title to replace the project title token. Then, in Engrave Mode you can see on the upper R portion of the pages panel that the Pages section shows the manual override red triangle. Right-click (control-click) to show the popup menu.
Much thanks. Yay - that worked (gave me the old title which I corrected.) How do I add met. titles (flow titles)?
Is this a multi-movement piece where you want to show the Flow Title before each Movement? If so, go to Layout Options > Page Setup > Flows and enable Flow headings.
Thanks, just the knowledge I was seeking!
