Retrologue 2.5 update with UI Scaling is available now

Dear all,

The Retrologue 2.5 update is now available in the Steinberg Download Assistant and includes the UI Scaling from -50% to +100% in 12.5% increments.

When using Cubase 15 and higher, User Interface Scaling must be applied via the Functions menu, which is located in the plug-in header. In other hosts you can find this in the “options” menu.

Furthermore the load panel based on the MediaBay was updated and integrated for better preset browsing in both plug-ins.

We hope you have lots of fun with this update. Here you can find the version history:

Thanks for the update.

A few of annotations regarding the new Media Bay section:

  • I would have loved to see an icon like in Halion Sonic, which lets me toggle the visibility of this section.

  • When I open Retrologue GUIs in Cubase projects which were made with the previous version of Retrologue, the Media Bay section is visible but empty.

  • Personally I would prefer to be able to open the Retrologue GUI without the Media Bay section to be visible by default. Is there any way I can make it the default behaviour?

I have updated the VST (Retrologue & Padshop) but still don’t know how to increase its size. Help me please

Nice! Question: On MacOSX Sequioa 15.7.4, Cubase 15.0.10 Retrologue 2.5.0.
When you click on the Gear icon (= options) => the UI Scaling. The percents are visible but greyed out. I think that is confusing. I know this menu is used in other hosts (tested it with Ableton and Logic) but maybe better not being visible in Cubase itself or even better, why not also let it work through the options menu?

Hi all,

thanks a lot for your feedback. We will have a deeper look into this and further discuss this within the team!

All the best,

Broken AI control knob when resizing the GUI larger or smaller than default. Will make thread stating ‘BUG’

Hi, in Nuendo nothing shown. Tahoe 26.3.1.

How embarrassing—the update wasn’t installed properly. It works now.

I still cannot decrease/increase its size. The option is gray out.

If you’re using the plug-in in Cubase 15, don’t click the “gear” icon, click the Functions menu:

It’s at the top right, just to the right of the “camera” icon …

My screenshots are from Retrologue 2.5 in Cubase 15 on Windows 11.

Thanks we will check it internally and come back to you if we need more information.

Thank you Florian, It appears that Ai is still working ‘under the hood’ but the positions are all out of place for all parameters when increasing/decreasing scale.

I can confirm that. CC121 AI knob just works on default size. Thank you

Hey Steinberg, I think that this is the best time to finally update that unfortunate “arrow in a box” icon. Bring it to the universal iconography standard, which is the gear icon.

Current one confuses people, can’t be associated with options and looks like a temp icon made by a programmer for internal testing, not like an icon that would go through the design team and would be shipped in the final version

Same here now, after Update to Nuendo 15. Retrologue 2.5

Solved its here
