The Retrologue 2.5 update is now available in the Steinberg Download Assistant and includes the UI Scaling from -50% to +100% in 12.5% increments.
When using Cubase 15 and higher, User Interface Scaling must be applied via the Functions menu, which is located in the plug-in header. In other hosts you can find this in the “options” menu.
Furthermore the load panel based on the MediaBay was updated and integrated for better preset browsing in both plug-ins.
We hope you have lots of fun with this update. Here you can find the version history:
Personally I would prefer to be able to open the Retrologue GUI without the Media Bay section to be visible by default. Is there any way I can make it the default behaviour?
Nice! Question: On MacOSX Sequioa 15.7.4, Cubase 15.0.10 Retrologue 2.5.0.
When you click on the Gear icon (= options) => the UI Scaling. The percents are visible but greyed out. I think that is confusing. I know this menu is used in other hosts (tested it with Ableton and Logic) but maybe better not being visible in Cubase itself or even better, why not also let it work through the options menu?
If you’re using the plug-in in Cubase 15, don’t click the “gear” icon, click the Functions menu:
It’s at the top right, just to the right of the “camera” icon …
Thank you Florian, It appears that Ai is still working ‘under the hood’ but the positions are all out of place for all parameters when increasing/decreasing scale.
Hey Steinberg, I think that this is the best time to finally update that unfortunate “arrow in a box” icon. Bring it to the universal iconography standard, which is the gear icon.
Current one confuses people, can’t be associated with options and looks like a temp icon made by a programmer for internal testing, not like an icon that would go through the design team and would be shipped in the final version
