Returning to music after 15 years, can I upgrade to Cubase 14 form an old LE license?

I’ve recently returned to music after a long time and was wondering if would be eligible to upgrade my old license for Cubase LE5 to Cubase 14?

Would I still eligible for an upgrade or has it been too long?

Secondly, do we require a USB dongle to verify our login everytime we use Cubase 14?

If you just want to update to LE14 and you have an LE5 license showing in your Steinberg account then you can request a free upgrade.
Try this thread and tag Matthias like you can see others have done further up the thread.

To add to what @Grim and @Reco29 already said, since Cubase 12 there is no eLicenser anymore, the licensing is via the Activation Manager (that will be installed together with the latest software).
