I have a UR-44 and when I bought it, I activated it with Cubase Artist 8.5 and Halion 5.

Later I upgraded to Cubase Artist 13 and Halion 7. (and still using the UR-44. But of course the dongle isn’t needed anymore for those. But I want to remove the dongle from my system, because I want to use the USB port.

Of course then I get troubles loading old songs, made with the REV-X effects, checking for the dongle and not seeing it. When I have the dongle in, there are no problems.

How can I remove the dongle and don’t get issues with these things? Any one know a simple solution?

Welcome to the Forum.

You just need to update your BasicFX software, that includes the plugin. The current version uses Steinberg licensing and does not need the eLicenser anymore
