Reverse sustain pedal

Hi,
The polarity of my sustain pedal is reverse so that the tone is sustained when i don’t press the pedal. How do i fix this? I’m using a Nektar Impact keyboard and a Roland DP-10 pedal.

Hi.

This can happen if you connect your pedal when the keyboard is already on, or if you accidentally hold the pedal while turning on the keyboard.

If your pedal doesn’t have a polarity switch, try this:

Unplug pedal, turn off keyboard, plug in pedal, turn on keyboard.

Worked, thanks.

Most keyboards have a DAMPER polarity switch located in their Global/System Setup area

I do that with my Korg here

Roland uses reverse polarity, some of their pedals have a switch.
