Hi I have a piano part that has many bars that looks like the attached image. I want to quickly move the bottom two notes to the lower staff and drop both staves by an octave.
I know that I can use Option-M to move the notes down, but selecting the notes is a challenge because the part is like this over the entire piece. The select tool often grabs the upper note because it’s too close. Is individually clicking on each note head and then moving them down my only option?
I tried to search for a solution but couldn’t seem to find it, or maybe I was using poor search terms. Anyway, I appreciate any help
Whilst not ideal, a workable solution is:
Select all affected bars, filter for the notes and chords, then apply a deselect top or single note filter (twice). Your selected notes should gradually shrink to just the bottom two notes.
This is best done when all your notes are entered, so you can select all affected bars at the same time.
I would use @Janus 's approach, but I would Filter to select from the bottom rather than deselecting from the top, but either way takes the same number of keystrokes.
