When opening the Right zone it blocks the key-commands.
Anyone knows why this happens and if its possible to avoid

Where do you open the Right Zone? In the Project window or in the MixConsole? What is shown there (which tab)? Where is the focus (is it in the Right Zone or not)? What Key Commands specifically are you talking about?

Sorry for missing info. After trying to recreate the problem i just figured out how to solve it. It wasnt the right zone that caused the keycommand blocking. it was the mediabay window that was hiding behind the main project window and by that blocking most of the keycommands - obviously because the mediabay has its own set of keycommands. see the picture. Anyway closing the hiding mediabay solved the problem

I have this issue too - the main arrange page is in focus - no media bay window open - only right zone media window expanded - is this normal behaviour? Why would shortcuts be disabled with right zone medially open as it doesn’t use shortcuts as far as I know>?
