For 8K I am seriously unimpressed. I would assemble a modular system for that amount of money.
I think this is the first salvo from RND in building a modular desk a la 5088 without having to shell out for the whole thing at once. I quite like the idea overall. As trivial as this seems, the only thing I don’t like about it is the location of the jog wheel and volume control. I think they should be reversed. I also think it should support flying faders although the DAW integration points would be somewhat problematic.
