Okay so im very new to cubase pro 13, and i want to connect my guitar via a rocksmith guitar cable, one side goes into your guitar and the other side has usb. Now i do think i have the right driver installed, as i can play the game, but i dont know how i could connect this guitar to cubase, as midi maybe? I have no clue if this if even possible tbh.
It doesn’t produce midi. I think it does audio over usb though.
If you’re on Windows you’ll need to use a third party driver like ASIO4all so you can aggregate it with whatever interface you use for output.
Thanks ill download asio4all and try to see how thatll work!
Okay so i got the thing working and i can input the rocksmith usb now, but i cant output my lg sounbar anymore? Only on the low latency asio driver this lg soundbar is an option but on the asio4all i cant see it. And also i dont know now how to record the guitar into cubase. I just got it setup as stereo in.
How is the LG soundbar connected to your computer exactly?
If it’s HDMI or BT or anything like that I don’t know if you can get it working
If it’s analogue audio connection (like 3.5mm jack) then you should be able to set ASIO4all to use your built in soundcard as the output.
ah poop yeah its connected via hdmi, why is it that it ends up not working with that driver?
I’m not sure…some H|DMI devices do seem to get seen by ASIO4all but it’s really not designed for realtime audio so even if it did work you would likely have unuseable latency for monitoring guitar through the computer.
Ah okay well no worries, ill just switch between drivers when listening and playing in, thank you so much man!!
