Hi all, recently bought a Roland TR 8, and cannot figure out how to set it up to record individual channels with in Cubase 5. Can someone please advise me what to do? I’ve changed the project sample rate to 92 khz and the record format to 32bit float. It’s setting up the individual input channels that i can’t seem to get my head around, can anyone help or guide me through this process please?? Many thanks

As the Roland web page says, you can use the USB to transfer Audio and MIDI data. So you should be able to use Roland TR8 as your Audio Device. The common settings is to connect the device via USB. Open Devices > Device Setup > VST Audio System in Cubase, and set the device as an ASIO Driver.
Now, you should be able to get the audio signal from Roland to Cubase.
Then make sure, the audio signal is streamed from Roland to the USB port (could be, you have to set this in the Roland Settings).
