Often I get tracks from clients who record vocals with a rather cheap mic in a bedroom. After applying the processing which brings the sound of vocal to its best sound, the room noise sticks out and this introduces the issue, where if I take this noise down (or out) in vocal’s pauses, it sounds unnatural, and if I bring it (the noise) back at the request of the singer, then the track sounds too noisy in the pauses between the vocal phrases.
It would be great if Cubase could have a native plugin that would provide for elaborate noise removal from tracks (first of all, vocal tracks) the way iZotope RX does.
