How do you add a ruler line?

I’m in Engrave mode, got a check mark against the menu Item Engrave / Rulers, I can see the rulers along the top and the side of the page - and that’s as far as I can get.

Normally I’d drag a ruler line across from the top or bottom. But that doesn’t seem to work.

There is no such thing (yet). The rulers let you know exactly where your pointer is (note the distances in both rulers).

That’s a shame - it occurred to me they could be really useful when working with Project Templates. I suspect they are coming, and probably soon - this is a screenshot from one of the recent Dorico videos.

Those are just crosshairs on the selection.

David, not a ruler line, but you can now superimpose a grid, which might help you in a similar way in combination with the crosshair rulers.

Thanks - yes, tried that. I was actually doing this as a exercise in understanding rulers and a test to see whether I could set up a series of Page Templates using ruler lines as guides to Text, Music and. Graphic Frames. It would speed up the work considerably, otherwise I’m just referring back to pages of measurements.

They’ll come at some point, I’m sure.
