Running Halion Sonic with Halion license?

Hi,

Can I run Halion Sonic (and Hypersonic) when I have a Halion license? I love to simplicity of Halion Sonic for some tasks and I am wondering if I can install and run Halion Sonic and Hypersonic instead of Halion.

I don’t know about Hypersonic but you CAN run HALion Sonic with a HALion license. In fact, the HALion installer will also install HS.

I do the same.

Most of the time I use the (easier to use) Halion Sonic. I use the “big” Halion only for my own samples and for sound design.

Really? I upgraded from H4 to H5 … I can’t really remember whether that was offered as an option.

Yes. I honestly can’t remember if it gave an option or just did it automatically but I THINK it gives an option…

I suppose this is true only for Halion 5, and not for 4/4.5, right?

A HALion 5 License will run HS2 (or HS1, I imagine). I DO NOT know if a HALion 4 license will run HS1 or HS2. If I were making an educated guess, I would guess that H4 will run HS1 but not HS2, but I really have no knowledge about it.
