I am very sorry, but I am getting so tired of this.
As soon as the first problematic RX say the light of day, our head developer has reached out to Izotope explaining in detail what was wrong with their VST3 implementation. And how to fix it.
Izotope never adressed the issue.
To “fix” the problem temporarely, Steinberg has created a cheat-fix in their DOP implementation, so the users could at least work. Albeit by using a little trick.
And now with RX 10, they broke it even more.
Seriously …
Just like AAX, VST3 is a documented standard. It’s not rocket science.
Izotope screwed up their VST3 implementation, they made a mistake.
So every DAW or software that uses VST3 will bump into the exact same issue.
Izotope is not developing, they are just buying stuff and pushing it out.
They bought Exponential audio, such a great company.
Since the takeover, the Exponential products are hidden in the back of their website.
Since then, there hasn’t been NO further developement or maintenance for these products whatsover. It’s a f%$^shame.
We can only hope that the Native Instruments people pump some life back into this company.
/Rant over/
