Hi,
Because my PC’s mother board have crashed, I opened My Steinberg to deactivate licenses blocked on it , and there, I discovered that this PC is registered 2 times. (Yes its name is ironicaly Recover…)
It seems a bug, because I only registered each software one time on it using the activation Manager.
Is it safe to remove these 2 registrations ?
Just remove them both and add the latest one back again. (In case you are not sure which is the correct one).
Thanks, I will wait for the new PC to try it.
Strange bug, isn’t it ?
Not really. If your machine ID changed due to a crash or perceived change of hardware etc.
Could it be a boot ssd change ? I did one.
Yes. Exactly.
Many things go together to create your machine ID.
Network card. Boot devices. GPU. Etc.
It varies depending on the system but this is normal.
Many companies don’t disclose exactly what is utilised to produce a system ID.
But the bottom line is, if you’re going to make any significant changes to the system, expect the ID to change.
