I’m trying to have two video views from the same source, so I can have one window full screen on screen B and a small version on screen A (to make sure that what’s projected is correct). It seems like it’s not doable but if it is, it would be great if someone could chime in.
use a external hdmi doubler, or duplicate the video on another track and set out to video2
Ciao!
Both are possible yes but pretty convoluted.
I’m trying now with a screen capture software but it’s not ideal
I think @ciro1983811 ’s double video track idea is pretty good
I would consider it were it not for how I have everything set up. I sometimes have 3 video tracks in a song plus some audio tracks and it takes too much real-estate. But yes, in a more simple setup that is how I would do it.
I want to have two video windows, not use two screens.
There are 6 video windows, you can send each track to any of those.
Yes but you can’t assign the same video track to multiple windows. That’s what I want to achieve.
Hi! It won’t be a big deal to duplicate your video track(s) and route second one to a non-fullscreen “video2place”.
Yeah it’s easy enough, I just don’t want to clutter the track views with more tracks than necessary.
I’ve found a couple of 3rd party solutions though that can achieve what I need. But it would be neat if you could do it internally in VSTL. Feature request I guess!
We have it on our list, actually more generally as multiple port selection.
That is simply tricky clever idea
Excellent.
If anyone is in the same situation: I’m using an app from the Microsoft Store called Remote Monitor. Very simple app, does the job for now.
Similar but VNC here
