Sample rate affects pitch of imported audio

In that case:

  1. Open File/Preferences/Editing/Audio/On Import Audio Files
  2. Check the following boxes in the menu
  • “Use Settings”
  • “Convert and Copy to Project if needed”

Now, all imported audio files will automatically be converted in accordance with your project sample rate and bit depth.
