Saving HALion 6 program to external disc?

Want to be able to save the .vstpreset file for my user-content HALion 6 patches to the same external hard drive where the samples are located, but the save dialogue only allows me to save from /Users/(my user name)/Library/Audio/Presets/Steinberg Media Technologies/HALion 6 and downwards. There doesn’t seem to be any way to break free from this constraint.

Is that really supposed to be like that or am I missing something?

Export the program as vst preset instead. This will let you choose the file location freely. This will also use relative path for samples or any macro page resources.

After exporting the preset you can use the save function as usual.
