When I have variaudio panel open and am editing/tuning a vocal – I choose the scale/key i want, choose snap notes to scale – and yet, if I move notes around (separate or as a group) – it still allows me to move them chromatically and does not snap to the appropriate notes of the selected scale. It was working fine before in the same project, and now it’s not. Has anyone run into this, and if so, how did you fix it? Restarting did not help.
Just to make sure we are on the same page. With various audio you need to select all the notes and press quantise which will align the notes to the chosen key. Unlike midi where it can auto put it in key*
No I’m talking about using scale assist and snap notes to scale where when your drag the notes up or down it snapped only to the notes within the chosen scale. It was working fine and now it’s not. Even after a restart.
I am having the same problem.
Vari Audio works fine at first but, after a couple of minutes of editing, when you want to use the scale assistant to create background vocals, the Scale assistant stops working and just shows an all grey background with no light or dark horizontal bars. https://youtu.be/Z6NnVJwoRPE
Just to save a bit of time, Scale assistant is something we use every single session in almost every day of operation here at the studio. It is our daily driver for harmonies.

We have not upgraded to 14 yet.

I have the same problem, work for some vocal, but later did not. and mostly not. it sucks to have this in cubase 13. when I put harmonic vocal, snap pitch editing didn’t work as well, they just move around the notes but not in the right pitch as scale assistant suggested
