Now that we have the system break command back, can we get a command to do the opposite, to glue two systems together ?
Even better:
a “+/-” field at the right side of a line, like it´s done in Guitar pro!

Does nobody here need more bars per line sometimes?
C´mon, that´s such a basic thing…am I missing something or is it really impossible to get the score editor to add bars to a line?
Hi sirius,
of course, I also need sometimes more bars per line. It’s very context dependent.
For me, that’s a necessity for a notation program the user to be able to control the flow of the music notation over the page.
But I think they don’t want to take the easy route to always allow manual intervention.
(instead probably implement everything in rules and simulated (artificial) intelligence)
This “intelligent” handling of score display may work on a very basic level for some users, who just want to see some nice notation of their tracks.
One example of how I used to use the score editor beyond this basic functionally:
When using the score editor for composing and arranging, I sometimes need to have oversight over a complete section. So I used to glue together as many bars as necessary, to get this oversight, get the voiceleading and harmonies right, and cut the system back to “nice looking”.
Like one would zoom in with the key editor, to simply see more.
Another example:
To create compact on easily readable (lead)sheets, I often choose the “not so good looking” approach, simply to avoid turning pages for my musicians.
I did this mainly by moving staffs closer together vertically and adding bars to lines. Cannot do this in the new score editor anymore
Dorico has this functionality. I think to expose it in Cubase they probably have to add a couple configurable options to the system breaks (and have some place to put them in the UI). Dorico has the properties panel at the bottom where these options go and the closest equivalent in Cubase is the Info bar.
At the moment it seems like anything created in the score editor (aside from notes) doesn’t display in the info bar when selected, so I’m guessing this might be the reason these controls haven’t been added yet.
It is very different from your other request, to be able to hide the title and have it take up no space. For that one, it is not simple to do that even in Dorico Pro.
