Score Editor > Fermatas?

Hello everyone!

Quick question: When I enter a tempo indication in the score editor (e.g., Grave = quarter note = 36), it is applied perfectly in the project (Tempo = 36).

However, when I enter a fermata in the score editor, for example, it seems to be ignored, and I have to laboriously construct a fermata in the tempo track using pen symbols…

Has this not yet been implemented in the score editor? (In Dorico 6, the fermatas are played with customizable values…)

Or does anyone have any good advice on how to add fermatas more easily in Cubase 14, for example?

I would be grateful for your feedback… Thanks!

Fermatas in Cubase are just cosmetic – they don’t affect playback.

Thanks for your answer! What a pity…

I don’t know is this is an approved technique, but I use the tempo track and slow the tempo down for just that note, as much as is needed to achieve the desired pause.
