Score lyric verses

I’m trying to get the lyrics in the score editor to show up like:

  1. verse 1
  2. verse 2
  3. verse 3
    etc.
    Is there a simple way to do that?

I’m pasting verses from a text file and the 2nd verse (pasted separately) sits on top of the first. How is the spacing between verses set?

Hold Shift and double click the first word or syllable of the verse and move it manually, for each page.

Will that space the staves or will that need to be done another way?

@BobUpstairs I hope you don’t mind I link your original question here, regarding what the key command is supposed to do, since I too am interested and @Maestro surely knows.
