Score (mostly) video made with Dorico

All,

I haven’t shared any of my music on the forum but, if you’ll permit me, I’d like to share a recent project I completed with Dorico. The audio is generated in Logic with several different virtual instruments, except the rhythm section instruments which I played live. All the virtual parts were played in real time, though I began the Logic project by importing the Dorico score and using that as the framework.

The video is a combination of AI generated images and a screen capture of the Dorico score playing back. (It takes a moment for the score to appear.)

The actual PDF of the score is available here on my web site, or here directly. The band where I teach is working on this now, so it is also humanly playable.

I enjoyed this piece very much. If you get to the point that you can share a live recording here, by all means do so, please.

Hi @jjm_335, I like your Dog Years very much. Nice impros on the Soprano sax, and cool groove and harmony. Thank you for sharing it, and the score, with us!

(Just a little question: is there a reason why you omit the composer name from the first page of the score?)

No reason except that it’s on the title page. Perhaps I should also put it on the first page of the score too. Thanks for listening.
