Scripting Features in Reaper are getting amazing - Hope SB takes note

I don’t think i’ve ever been really jealous of a feature set in another Daw since there was usually always a different approach with Nuendo to tackle something similar. However recently I’ve been seeing some new scripts being made for Reaper that have really caught my attention and are defintely making me wish we can do the same in Nuendo for convenience. Project Logical Editor has been a great beasts on its own for years, though not sure it compares to how deep scripting can take things.

Here are a few that I’ve seen so far: Especially for game audio they seem very useful.

LOOPMAKER : this looks awesome and very useful, any chance a macro with project logical editor can be made to similar effect?

NVK VARIATIONS :sort of similar to randomizer but with a bit more flexibility

REASPEECH : We do have a transcribe feature in spectralayers, however with scripts these kind of things feel more intuitive and quick

I’m sure there are plenty more great Scripts being made. Does Steinberg have any plans to have scripting included in Nuendo? I think its a must to keep up with the competition.

I wish Steinberg would add part of the site where folks could share things like scripts, macros and other things (like key commands, colour pallets, etc).

It would boost community engagement as well. They may be just too old-school for that, though.

A lot of people have posted macros and other tricks on this forum, so a search on ‘macro’ could help people find it quite easily. Perhaps an index or a way to filter would help.

I agree though that SB needs to do some work on scripting options for 3rd parties. There is an API btw but i’m not sure how easy it is to work with that and which code language it has. I think lua is very popular and adding that would certainly help.
