Scroll Bar Should Not Be Accommodating 1732 Bars Please

I noticed that the Scroll Bar is scaled to 1732 bars no matter what.
I had a 49 Bar MIDI part that I wanted to peruse with the use of the scroll bar. But I had to make the tiniest 1 pixel mouse movements in order to view the part thoroughly.
Shouldn’t the scroll bar scale to the loop region?. It would make a lot more sense than scaling to 1732 bars.

I think you meant “scaled to the full length of the project”…

It would be nice to have a button called “Scale scroll bar to part borders”…

Sure, but I can’t see the logic in having the scroll bar scaling to anything other than the currently selected part.

Not a perfect solution but you can at least shorten the project to something near your maximum track length. From the main menu, Project > Project Setup > Project Duration.

For sure, setting the project length to something reasonable is the first thing I do when I start a new project, to make scrolling manageable.

But what if you have to work with something unusually long (lengthy project of maybe 8 hours)? I think something needs to be done regarding scrolling individual MIDI parts (maybe adding controls to make moving the scroll bar more smooth).

In Windows, the scroll bar scales to accommodate the files that need to be displayed inside the folder. And, it changes depending on what folder you have open. Pretty basic stuff. Cubase should behave the same.

Ah, good point, it’s just not a situation I had to deal with
