Is it possible for a Playback Option only apply to a portion of a flow? I have a medley in which one of the tunes has swing-8ths whereas the other pieces all have straight-8ths. Currently, the entire medley is in a single flow. I’m thinking that the only solution is to put the swing tune in a separate flow with a zero time delay between the preceding flow and the swing flow?
Ah, just discovered another possibility: select the entire swing-8ths tune and use Shift-T to enter an appropriate swing tempo. Is this the best solution?
Sorry - misread the question.
Just add a swing tempo where you want swing to start and a normal unswung tempo when you need to go back to straight.
(You can also apply swing to individual players, whilst others remain straight)
Shift-T is in fact the intended way to get swing playback. You can end the swing section by typing straight into it, as well. Close the popover with Alt/Opt-Enter and you can make it instrument-specific, even.
